Fitness Challenge Starting Post
Welcome to my week 7 results!
I have some good news and bad news. What do you want first? …of course the bad news!
The Bad
- Lazy ass. Aside from two dumbbell sessions, I didn’t work out once. So no video
- I ate two buffets. An Indian one at Friday lunch and a Japanese/Chinese one Saturday night
- I was at the store and saw some low quality ice cream on sale and bought two 2L boxes (chocolate and butterscotch)
The Good
- I somehow maintained my weight from last week
A New Addition to the Family
She took about an hour to deliver and looks and smells like a new baby should. I’ll be cuddling with her every week going forward. Please welcome:

Weight & Body
The same 210 lbs like last week.
Food
Crap. I forgot to take a pic of the Indian lunch buffet I had on Friday. But imagine 2.5 plates worth of rice, naan, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, goat curry and pakoras. It wasn’t that great. My coworker agreed. And at $12.99 it wasn’t a deal. I know a place that is better quality and $8.99, but that place is 20 minutes away. We only had so much time for lunch and this is the closet Indian buffet to work.
My bro helped me pick up my new BBQ Saturday morning and we put it together over the next few hours (he did most of the work), so that night I took his family out to dinner. A Japanese/Chinese buffet a 10 minute drive away. The term Japanese/Chinese is suspect as there isn’t much authenticity to it at all aside from maybe 5-6 items you could find at a real Asian restaurant. The rest is mediocre whitewashed Asian cuisine. Still delicious though.
Some things I ate: sushi rolls, a nice boneless fish, spicy beef, sweet and sour pork, breaded torpedo shrimps and even took a laughable spring roll and chicken ball. And whatever you see on my plate below. Dessert was so authentic (sarcasm). Cake, pineapple slices and a macaroon. Well, at least the tea seemed authentic.
A mishmash of other stuff I ate.
Workout 1 & 2 (weights)
Did some dumbbell sessions at 20 lb weights per arm. Yeah I know. Nothing special.
